Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning facials are a safe and effective way to physical exfoliate the skins surface. A sterile surgical scalpel, and a special technique are used to gently “surf” or “shave” the skins surface. This removes the layer of dead skin cells at the upmost of the skins surface, and the vellus hair (also known as peach fuzz).

Dermaplaning facials can be repeated as frequently as every 3 weeks, in your lunch hour as there is no downtime. Exfoliation of the skin helps promote the cell regeneration process and allows skin care products to be absorbed more effectively. Vellus hair which can collect dirt and oils, dulling the skin is also removed. Vellus, soft hair unlike hair on the rest of our bodies (terminal hair) will not grow back thicker or darker – this is purely an old wives tale.

To further boost your skin, we recommend the addition of a hydro jelly mask. A mask will be selected in accordance to your skin type.

Carboxytherapy Facial

Non-Invasive Carboxytherapy is a treatment during which a gas, carbon dioxide (CO2), is infused into the skin to encourage an increased flow of oxygen. Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas in the body and as such it can not cause any allergic or other unwanted reactions.

This minimally invasive treatment can offer long lasting skin improvements such as:

  • Elastin stimulation
  • Tissue tightening and brightening
  • Skin regeneration
  • Reduction of dark under-eye circles
  • Improvement in circulation
  • Improved lymphoid drainage

During the treatment, a Carboxytherapy Gel is applied to the face in an even layer. A Carboxytherapy Activator Face Mask is then pressed firmly onto the gel. The interface produces a specific amount of carbon dioxide, which is infused into the skin.

By infusing carbon dioxide into the skin, an acidic environment develops. This signals our organism to secure oxygen to the tissue in the treated region and accumulate natural growth factors (vascular endothelial growth factors). Within several days after the treatment there is an increased natural distribution of oxygen in the places of application, a completely new microcirculation is created, lymphoid drainage is increased and in this way skin regeneration is achieved in a natural way.

During the treatment you may feel a slight tingling and the treated area can become mildly red due to a sudden deposit of oxygen. Within 5 minutes post treatment, the carbon dioxide applied to the skin is completely replaced by oxygen. You can go back to their usual activities after treatment and no recovery period is required.

How long do results last?

The results of a Carboxytherapy Facial are cumulative – with every subsequent treatment improving the results of the last.

After having a course of carboxytherapy treatments, the average effects last (until you need the next course of treatments):

Around 2-3 months: age 50+
Around 3-4 months: age 40+
Around 4-6 months: age 25 – 40
