Microblading Suitability

Not everyone will be suitable for this treatment. The conditions below will prevent you from having the procedure done, however, depending on severity of medical condition, some individuals may still be able to have the procedure with a note from their doctor.

PREVENT – Unfortunately, if you have any of the following conditions, you will be unable to have the treatment done.

  • Hypertrophic Scars
  • History of Keloid Scars
  • Current Infections / On Antibiotics
  • Autoimmune Disease
  • Blood Thinner Medication
  • A history of blood disorders

RESTRICT – If you have any of the following conditions, you will need to provide a letter from your GP to confirm you are able to go ahead with the treatment.

  • Medication – Please contact me to discuss your medication as some medications won’t affect the procedure
  • Individuals with diabetes type 1 or 2
  • Anemia
  • Artificial heart valves / heart problems / blood problems
  • Tumors / growths / cysts
  • Chemotherapy – You must be 6 months post chemo
  • High blood pressure / low blood pressure

TEMPORARY – If any of the following apply to you, you would need to wait until the condition has passed / ended before you are able to proceed.

  • Retin A within the last 2 weeks
  • Chemical or laser treatment in the last 6 weeks (you would need to wait until 6 weeks before you could proceed)
  • Fat or collagen injections – You must wait until 7 days before you can proceed.
  • Anti-ageing injections – should be performed 2 weeks before you microblading appt or you must wait 2 weeks after microblading before having any anti-ageing injections.
  • AHA preparations in the last 6 months
  • Visible skin conditions in the brow area
  • If you are pregnant or nursing
  • Drugs or alcohol – you must wait for any drugs or alcohol to be out your system before the procedure can be performed.
